Another Day Off

So, I didn't called to work again today, so I'm home. It's weird but really nice having Mondays off. I just don't want to get used to it, because I definitely could use the money. I do have a job for Wednesday already, which is good. I definitely think the 4 day work week is a good one, if only I could do that forever.

I clearly need to find another outlet for myself when I'm home alone, because I've recently been getting into this bad habit of internet shopping. I bought a jean jacket (which I love) off of the Armani Exchange website (so obviously that's a little pricey). I haven't bought any more clothes, because I put myself on a clothes buying freeze until November. However, I have recently been buying tones of tunes off of Itunes. I made myself about 6 new mix CDs recently. So, I shouldn't have been as shocked as I was when I got my receit today from Itunes and saw it was for $40.59. I couldn't believe I had bought that many songs. So, now it looks like I might have to put myself on a buying freeze on Itunes as well. It just doesn't feel like I'm buying anything when I just put in a password and click a button. Rather dangerous for me, I guess.

Lazy Day

Well, I have not been up to too much this weekend. I've been feeling kind of lazy and introspective, which I guess is not a bad thing. I didn't even work today (monday) because I didn't get called to sub, so I had a forced day off. I've been purchasing tons of songs from I-tunes, and here are some of my favs right now:

1. This is a Song--by The Magic Numbers
2. Everything's Magic--by Angels and Airwaves
3. Thrash Unreal--by Against Me!
4. The Widow--by The Mars Volta
5. Hospital Beds--by Cold War Kids
6. Chelsea Dagger--by The Fratellis
7. An End Has a Start--by The Editors

I have been making all these mix CDs because I drive so much for work, I typically spend about an hour in the car each day, so you can guess how much I need various CDs.

I did see We Own the Night this weekend starring Mark Wahlberg and Joaquin Phoenix. It was good, about their relationship as brothers and about drug busts in New York in the 80's. It didn't make any spectacular statements about either things, but it was very realistic. I thought Joaquin did an amazing job. He is such a fantastic actor.

Happy October!

Today has been a good day for me. I went and subbed at this middle school where I've been once before, and last time I was there, I noticed this cute single (well, not wearing a wedding ring) teacher in the lounge while I was eating lunch. This time, he was walking in when I was and was talking to me. Then, at lunch, he came and sat by me and was talking to me some again. Not that anything happened other than that, but he was really cute and nice.

Then, after I went running this evening, I went by Starbucks to get a frappuccino, and the guy at the drive-through window gave it to me for free! He gave some explanation about his drawer not being open, and I was like, good enough for me. So, October is starting out well for me!
