P.S.

It's a good thing I placed my order for that bathing suit in March, because I just checked out of curiosity, and the top is now on backorder until August 4th! Isn't that crazy?

Who Knew Peeing in a Cup Could Be So Hard?

I had a horrible experience today at the hospital. As part of my new job offer, I had to go and get a physical, tb test, and do a drug test. I was okay with everything but the drug test. Apparently, I have what is called a "shy bladder", since it took me 3 tries over the course of 3 hours to produce enough pee in a cup for it to be valid for the drug test!!!!!! I always thought I could pee on command, but apparently I am wrong. And if I hadn't passed this part of the drug test, it was possible I could be fired from my new position. (Shudder) I never want to see the inside of that hospital again.

On the plus side, I got an email today from Victoria's Secret saying my swimsuit top has been sent out! I might actually get it before summer's over! Three months of waiting having finally paid off. : )

Update

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, but I've been busy! I was in Boston for 7 days visiting friends from college, and I had a fantastic time. Then, last week, I started work at a new job. This weekend, I spent the entire time with one of my best friends playing lots of Settlers. It has been a really good past couple of weeks seeing friends and all.

Memorial Day, my mom has this big tradition where she watches the parade (which comes right by our apartment) and has one of the few cook-outs she has all summer. At the end, my mom, sister, and I were out there making ourselves some s'mores, when the young neighbour boys came over and started talking to us. The little red-headed boy who I love told me that I 'have really nice shirts.' I knew I liked him for a reason. That kid knows fashion when he sees it. : )

AARRGGHH!

Okay, so I ordered this black, Juicy Couture swimsuit from Victoria's Secret on March 5. About a month later, I received the bottoms, but I still have yet to receive the top. First, they said it was backordered until April 17, then May 12, then May 23, now I just checked the website, and they are saying it is backordered until May 30, PLUS both pieces are now on sale for about $20 less than for what I ordered them! First, why put a swimsuit on sale and make MORE people order it when you can't even fulfill the orders from 2 and a half MONTHS AGO???? Next, will I EVER get this suit? I just don't know what to do at this point. Should I cancel the order? But I've already received half the suit, so I would lose my shipping costs for that plus I would have to return them. I don't really have another bathing suit, only old ones, so I guess I could get another new one and wear that while I'm waiting for this suit to come in. Here is the link to the suit. Give me some advice, what would you do?

My Top Ten

I just wanted to post about some of the things that I have been into lately. It's in no particular order, just things I've been reading/watching/thinking about. Here we go:

1. Guitar Hero II video game. It is so cool, like Dance, Dance Revolution but with a guitar instead of a dance board. It has really good songs, too, and you totally feel like you're rocking out.

2. Michael Stars. He is one of my current fave designers. His specialty is t-shirts, and his materials are so soft and comfortable besides looking fabulous, plus he fits a wide range of body types.

3. My nephew, Parker. What can I say? He's a cutie.

4. Fragile Things by Neil Gaimon. This is a book of short stories, and I could not put it down. All of the stories are slightly creepy, and what makes them wonderful isn't necessarily what he puts in, but what he omits. I love it.

5. "Makes Me Wonder" by Maroon 5. I cannot get enough of this song. It makes me want to sing and dance as well as lust after Adam Levine.

6. Dresses. I know I have been into these for awhile, but I've gotten two new dresses so far this summer, and I'm looking at getting another one. They are great for summer because they look all cute but they are very light and airy, perfect for hot weather. Michael Stars came out with a great new line of dresses: http://www.michaelstars.com/sp07_dresses.php, and I'm also into the Juicy Couture dresses right now: http://juicycouture.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/catalogPage.jhtml?itemId=cat110&parentId=cat104&masterId=cat103&cmCat=cat000000cat103cat104cat110&size=&sort=&tid=C6&viewMode=all

7. Every Second Counts by the Plain White T's. I really like this album, unfortunately, I got it before they added their "Hey There Delilah" song which is awesome. Go buy it.

8. Boston! Why, you ask? Because I am going there next week for vacation, and to visit a friend from college. I am way excited to see some of the Salem Witch stuff as well as go to the beach and soak in the east coast.

9. The Girls Next Door. Okay, totally guilty pleasure here. I started watching this show on E!, thinking how in the world can three girls all live together dating the same man. I really am getting into it, and the girls, while all bleached blonde with fake boobs, actually are really sweet and genuine. I'm still not sure how they can share their man, though.

10. My new Chanel sunglasses. I got them at Nordstroms, and I wear them with everything. They make me feel like a movie star. They are big and square and brown with the wonderful Chanel logo on the side. (Sorry, I couldn't find a picture of them to post. Use your imagination.)

Huzzah!

I had a job interview today! Oh, don't get too excited. It's not for a school social work position, which I really want, but still. It's for a part-time job with a non-for-profit agency that works with children and adults who have developmental disorders, or emotional and behavioural disorders. I would be working as an aide for adults who are higher functioning and living in their own appartments. I would be helping with daily living skills, such as grocery shopping, cooking, doing laundry, cleaning up, going to community events, etc. I'm actually pretty excited about it. It pays fairly decent and it's good hours, I would never have to work on the weekends. Plus it's good experience for social work. I have to go back on Monday and meet with this other lady, so we'll see. I guess I passed round one.
